Wow. How heartbreaking! I cannot even imagine a loss of that scale. 🥲 Thank you for reminding us that we have a “God who is greater than our grief…”

That is just an overwhelming amount of loss in a couple of years time. In April 1969 when I was 13 and my sister, Nancy, was 12, she was tragically killed in a bicycle/car accident as she rode home one evening. It was almost surreal reading about in the newspaper later, and I wondered then and still today what was the last thing I said to her. But she knew (and knows) Jesus, as do I, and it was that experience that God used to solidify Romans 8:28 in my heart. Can't wait to see her again some day!

Jeff, thank you for sharing your story about Nancy. I can't even imagine what you and your family must have gone through and what you carry with you still. Your anticipation of reuniting with Nancy one day is a beautiful testament to the hope we have in Christ. It reminds us that while grief is real and painful, our faith offers us comfort and the promise of eternal life. May God continue to bless and comfort you.

Like many, I thought Roy was blind until I learned that he wore the sunglasses as part of a "look". He also wore black clothes and dyed his hair black to complete that look. He did have some visual problems but was sighted. Thanks for another great post... keep 'em coming! Just shared as a Note.
