It's been said by 2 prophetic voices that Trump has a Cyrus Anointing from Isaiah 45- he's the 45th President. And one of them said...in the future the world will be known as " before Trump and after Trump ". We shall see. I love him and ask God to protect him and his family everyday!

Very interesting perspective andwell written. Trump is indeed a strange vessel to bring real, transformative change in the cision of Jesus. Christ no doubt was the greatest man who ever lived. He was killed shortly after calling out the High Priest and the corrupt temple system of sacrifice which greatly profited the High Priest and his acolytes. And of course, as Christ knew, the Resurrection. A poor carpenter without a dime to his name, crucified by the Roman and High Priest authorities, conquered all with a message of peace, compassion and forgiveness.

Now it’s Donald’s turn to forgive his enemies, who waged lawfare against him, and unjust trials. Can he rise to this occasion? An he tirn the other cheek and forgive, as Jesus did so beautifully?

Though I compared Trump and Jesus as outsiders challenging the status quo and the entrenched powers, there's an important distinction in their realms of influence.

As the son of God, Jesus challenged the entrenched religious powers. He was literally establishing a new religion. His teachings were very much about loving others and forgiveness. He was the perfect example of His teachings. Certainly, He is the example we should emulate.

Trump, on the other hand, is a political creature. His realm of influence is politics. While, as a person, I would hope he could follow Jesus' example and find personal forgiveness for his detractors and enemies, I'm not sure your sentiment of forgiveness is completely relevant in that political context.

Does Trump have a Christian responsibility to "forgive" those who persecuted him in a legal and political context? One might argue that, politically, his responsibility would be to seek justice where appropriate and to support legislation that would prohibit similar happenings to others in the future. Seeking personal retribution would not be acceptable, but I don't think "forgiving and forgetting" is exactly right either.
