As you have pointed out, deception has always had a place in physical warfare, but far too many people fail to see the spiritual warfare all around them...

Together, the Iliad and the Odyssey are called by some the 'Bible of the Greeks'. As mythology and history the Iliad is so important to the West that is should be read by everyone. Although listening to it as an audio book is better than reading, as it was intended to be recited aloud or sung.

The Fagles translation is good, but I think the Robert Fitzgerald translation is maybe even better.

The first modern day deception that occurrded to me was the so called "safe and effective" Covid 19 injections that turned out to be everything but. A silent killer from within. So much easier to control people through their minds than physical force, hence all the propaganda and media influencers.

I was just having this conversation with my high school aged daughter. I told her the best things I can teach her is to question everything. Do your own research. We can only be fooled if we accept what we're told and refuse to think for ourselves.
