I've never understood war. My faith simply doesn't allow for a need to justify that war is necessary. Pair that with humanity is one race created by God and you understand that Satan creates the division in mankind, that causes chaos, hate, the need to dominate. Interesting question on the need for justice... that could cover so many things, but I'm just leaving that there.

I'll agree that Satan uses division and lies and every other method at his disposal to divide us. Man is fallen and the world is besieged by sin.

I won't go so far to say that I agree that war is never necessary. It is because the world is full of sin that war is sometimes necessary and can sometimes be justified. I think it's hard to read the entire Bible and not come to that conclusion.

That's not to say that EVERY war is justified or necessary, of course. But I don't know how one couldn't fight against something like the evil of the Nazis in WWII who were slaughtering people wholesale.

The Spanish-American War though? That's a much more difficult argument.

Why I said.. the need for justice. But under it all if everyone believed in God and loving thy neighbor as thyself war might seize to exist.😉
